Testing the New Teana in China
March 25 – Guangzhou, China – The sales debut of the new Nissan Teana in China this month is the culmination of five years of testing and development. Wang Feng has been there since the beginning.
His job: to ensure that the new Teana conforms with the varied requirements of Chinese customers.
“We concentrated on listening to customers’ opinions on the last Teana, such as what they liked and didn’t like,” said Wang, marketability manager for Teana at Dongfeng Nissan Technical Center in Guangzhou.
“Based on those results, we found solutions to improve the new model.”
Wang lists a new suspension, improved in-car refinement and a powertrain that provides both better fuel economy and acceleration as important breakthroughs.
“We developed this new Teana to meet the needs of Chinese customers whether its performance, comfort or safety,” he said.
“It can definitely meet the market requirements in China.”
