Onboard for the All-Electric Lap

June 14 – Le Mans – The onboard camera caught the Nissan ZEOD RC’s historic all-electric lap at a warm-up to Le Mans. This was the first Le Mans for GT Academy 2012 winner Wolfgang Reip, who did the lap before the official start of the race.

The moment came days after the ZEOD, driven by Satoshi Motoyama, reached its goal of a speed more than 300 kmph.

While the Garage 56 entry was retired due to a faulty gearbox after a mere 23 minutes into the race, what it achieved leading up to Saturday’s start is historic.
