New App Makes Lease Returns Easier and Quicker

Sept. 16 – Franklin, Tennessee – Returning a leased car is about to become easier for Nissan and Infiniti customers.

Retrieving customer information

Dealers now have a new app called RPM Mobile that allows completion of a lease return simply by using a cell phone or tablet.

To return a leased vehicle via the new app, a dealer can use an iPhone, iPad or Android device to scan a sticker found on the inside of the driver’s side door that makes the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and customer’s information pop up.

Then, the customer confirms everything on the screen and electronically signs a return-receipt.

RPM App to roll out this month

Dealers also can use the new app to purchase a customer’s leased vehicle when the customer returns it. Using the app, dealers simply select a payoff method, confirm purchase and get a receipt, and then can sell it.

Nissan and Infiniti are the first and only brands using this type of new application, which makes the process quicker and more accurate by scanning the VIN numbers to input them.

All Nissan and Infiniti dealerships in the U.S. will be able to start using the new technology this month.
